Tower 79 was dispatched at 1428 hrs. when the second alarm was transmitted at 421 Fairview Street in Muhlenberg Township for a working structural fire. WFD members assisted with ventilation and checking for extension. Companies operating were briefly evacuated from the structure due to free flowing natural gas into the involved structure until it could be shut off by UGI.
Tower 79 cleared the incident at approx. 1620 hrs.

Engine 79 and 85-1 were dispatched to the Sunoco at 624 North Park Road at 0454 hours for a reported vehicle fire. Units arrived on location with a fully envolved vehicle. Fire was quickly extinguished and companies cleared the scene in about 40 minutes.

While Tower 79 was clearing a call for an odor of natural gas on Old Mill Road, they were dispatched to 1316 Cleveland Avenue for a MVA w/ Injuries. WFD Firefighters assisted EMS with patient care of one occupant and later, controlled fluids and debris while waiting for the tow company for vehicle removal.
Company 79 cleared the incident approx. 40 minutes later.

At 1757 hrs. Engine 79 was dispatched to assist Company 85 with a structure fire at 600 Vinemont Road in Spring Township. Chief 85 on location reporting a working fire in the walls of a single family dwelling. Wyomissing firefighters proceeded to Division 2 and opened up the walls, floor and ceiling in a room directly above the main body of fire located in the kitchen. Negative extension was found.
Engine 79 cleared the scene approx. 45 minutes later.

At 0349 hrs. Tower 79 was dispatched to assist Company 85 with a reported structure fire at 742 Fritztown Road in Spring Township. Wyomissing firefighters assisted with laddering the building, fire extinguishment and checking for extension.
Tower 79 cleared the scene for about 75 minutes later.

Rescue Engine 85 and Engine 79 were dispatched to 2605 Keiser Blvd. in the parking lot of Berks Cardiologists for a MVA w/ entrapment at 1351 hrs. FC 43 arrived first on location confirming two occupants trapped in an SUV which was on top of two vehicles. Wyomissing and Spring Township firefighters first stabilized the vehicle and then extricated the two occupants within 20 minutes.
Units from both companies remained on location for an additional 20 minutes while the vehicle was righted and cleared.

At 1706 hrs. Engine 79 and Engine 18-1 were dispatched to assist Company 85 with a two vehicle head-on collision with multiple patients and entrapment. WFD members assisted with extrication and scene lighting.

At 1816hrs. Engine 79 and Rescue Engine 85 were dispatched to Crossing Drive at Spring Street for a MVA w/ injuries which was upgraded to entrapment. Members from both companies stabilized one occupant and performed a door removal on the passenger side.
Companies cleared the scene approx. 30 minutes later.

At 1810 hrs. Tower 79 assisted Company 85 with a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on Broadcasting Road at the Route 222 overpass. Wyomissing firefighters stabilized the occupant of the vehicle and assisted Spring Township members with door removal.
Tower 79 cleared the incident approx. 20 minutes later.

At 1603 hrs. Engines 79 and 85 were dispatched to the intersection of Woodland Rd. and Crossing Dr. for a vehicle fire. Wyomissing firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in the engine compartment.
