Wednesday, April 11, 2012 At 0436hrs. Tower 79 along with Engine 85 and 25 were requested to relocate to the City of Reading to cover calls while the Reading Fire Dept. and Berks County Companies 64, 55, 69, 36, 10 and 1 operated at a 3 alarm structure fire in the City. Tower 79 relocated to the Third and Court Street station. Off duty WFD Career firefighters were then recalled to cover the rest of Wyomissing and Spring Township with Engine 79 while the Tower was committed to the City of Reading.

Later at 0927hrs. Tower 79 along with RFD Engine 2 were dispatched to 1040 Madison Ave. for a Residential Fire Alarm. Tower 79 was later released by a Reading Fire Dept. Deputy Chief and returned to Wyomissing Borough around 1030hrs.
