Wednesday, March 14, 2012 As part of a month long series of drills focused on SCBA proficency, the WFD went to the Berks County Fire Training Center and drilled on SCBA Confidence. Drill included a review of various methods of removing or reducing the profile of the SCBA while being worn to manuever though tight spaces or confines and to get free of entanglements. Members also reviewed the procedures for Buddy Breathing in a Low Air Emergency. Later everything that was practiced was incorperated, as the members navigated their way through the hose maze in zero visabiltiy conditions.
